The Company

Ghana International Airlines (GIAL) is Ghana's flag carrier with 70% shareholding by the Government of Ghana and 30% privately owned. GIAL began its operations on 29th October 2005 with its maiden flight from Accra to London Gatwick (South Terminal).

As part of our planned route expansion, a new scheduled flight to Dusseldorf - Germany was launched on 29th November 2008. We have additional routes planned as we grow the company steadily.

The goal of the airline is to serve the general traveling public in our markets and to provide affordable and integrated air transport services encompassing passenger, cargo and other ancillary travel services.

GIAL's performance dramatically improved with the installation of a new management in November 2007. Subsequently, we are highly rated on flight reliability, on-time and customer service among the airlines operating to Accra.
