Performance Indicators
Flight safety is paramount and this is why Ghana International
Airlines operates a modern Boeing aircraft to the highest
international safety standards. All GIA flights are operated under
EU-OPS and IOSA procedures with an unblemished safety record.
Since its inception on 29 October, 2005, the Airline has
consistently improved on its service delivery in the following
areas - load factors, on-time departures and baggage handling.

In 2008, GIA was the number one
longhaul carrier* at Kotoka International Airport in Accra for
on-time performance of 80% and over 91% of its flights operating
within 1 hour of schedule.

The load factor for the summer
2008 improved 5% upon the previous year's figure of 80%.

For the same period, of the
total number of 127,003 bags handled, 125,916 bags were delivered
safely, 1,071 bags were delayed and 16 bags were lost.
